At Javelin 19, Mr. Hill is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and executing new investment opportunities. Additionally, he oversees day-to-day operations of the company.
Mr. Hill’s experience includes acquisition and development transactions of over $750 million of total capitalization, of which over $200 million has been equity.
Mr. Hill has more than 10 years of institutional investment management experience. Most recently, Mr. Hill served as Vice President at The Meridian Group, where his responsibilities included sourcing, underwriting, structuring and executing new investment opportunities, as well as optimizing the existing portfolio through equity recapitalizations and debt restructurings. Mr. Hill helped to negotiate letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, financing documents and joint venture agreements. He also wrote investment committee memoranda (ICM) for new investments, and led presentations to Meridian’s investment committee. Mr. Hill played a key role in the formation of Meridian Realty Partners I, L.P., a discretionary, real estate private equity fund, co-authoring the Private Placement Memorandum (PPM), Due Diligence Package, and road show pitch book. In addition, Mr. Hill conducted economic, market and property-level research on the Washington, DC metro area and targeted submarkets.
Prior to Meridian, Mr. Hill was a Second Vice President with the Real Estate Group of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) in New York. Mr. Hill was a member of the fully-discretionary, Real Estate Mezzanine and Preferred Equity Fund, where his responsibilities included originating, underwriting, and structuring Fund investments across all property types, with a focus on multifamily and office properties. Prior to joining NYLIM, Mr. Hill was a Senior Analyst at ARK Realty Capital in Bethesda, MD.
Mr. Hill received a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University. Mr. Hill is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI), CFA Institute, CFA Society of Washington, and The Real Estate Group. Mr. Hill is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). In his spare time, Mr. Hill enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, sailing and biking.
Jill I. Homan, LEED® AP Principal
At Javelin 19, Ms. Homan is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and executing new investment opportunities. Further, she oversees day-to-day operations of the company.
Ms. Homan's experience includes acquisitions and development transactions of over $280 million in total capitalization.
Ms. Homan previously worked as vice president for Perseus Realty for five years, where she was responsible for multi-family and office acquisitions, underwriting, assisting in the capitalization of ongoing projects, and managing due diligence processes. Additionally, Ms. Homan assisted in the formation and structure of a discretionary GP investment partnership, managed its investor relations, and performed market and competitive property analyses.
She has more than 10 years experience in private and public sector project management, including handling public policy issues and managing media relations as a legislative assistant and press secretary for United States Congressman Robert Ehrlich from Maryland.
Ms. Homan earned both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Policy from Duke University, focusing on finance and authoring a thesis on urban revitalization. Further, Ms. Homan holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Dayton--a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in German. During her undergraduate and graduate education, she studied abroad at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology - M.B.A. Program.
She received the LEED® AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) certification, and is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and The Real Estate Group. In addition, Ms. Homan is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women DC (CREW DC), and received the Rising Star Award in 2009.
Ms. Homan serves as the Republican National Committeewoman for DC, formerly served on the RNC Site Selection Committee for the 2016 convention, and is a member of the D.C. Republican Committee’s Executive Committee. In her spare time, Ms. Homan enjoys playing golf and hosting wine tastings, and she just completed her sixth marathon.
